Symphony Fall Concert~Mendelssohn Melodies: A Sibling Symphony
FeaturedWesley United Methodist 114 W Broadway, Winona, MNFeatures works by sibling composers Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn alongside concertmaster Hillary Kingsley performing the iconic and beloved Bruch violin concerto. This program of romantic symphonic favorites concludes with the celebratory and virtuosic “Italian” Symphony by Felix Mendelssohn.

Symphony Spring Concert – Generations of Genius
Wesley United Methodist 114 W Broadway, Winona, MNFeaturing beloved Winonan Eric Brisson, this concert brings together the beautiful organ at Wesley United Methodist Church, paired with the WSO in two baroque works by Bach and Handel. These are paired with contemporary composer Ellen Taaffe Zwilich’s homage to Handel written in honor of his 300th anniversary in 1985. The evening is capped off by Haydn’s brilliant and playful symphony dedicated to Oxford, written to commemorate his receiving of an honorary doctorate from the university.
