Volunteer Opportunities

Concert usher (Symphony Cycle, Children’s Concert)

As greeters and attendants, ushers welcome concertgoers, assist them with any special needs, and help answer questions.

Provide baked goods and beverages for our after-concert receptions. Volunteers can also assist with setup and tear down.

Every rehearsal and concert requires extensive setup before the musicians arrive. Strong stage crew members are needed to help set chairs and stands, manage orchestra needs, and help with post-service cleanup.

Some of our musicians and guest artists travel a distance to perform with the WSO and require accommodations while in town. If you have an extra bedroom, consider serving as host to our out-of-town musicians.

The operation of a non-profit arts organization requires innumerable little details that happen all year long. From hanging posters to sealing envelopes, we welcome help with the minute operational tasks that drive the WSO outside our artistic events.
